A month of Procrastination

Another month is finished and another blog entry is looming. This one will be the most difficult one yet as I really havent done much photography throughout the last month. I have continued working on my Monochrome Plant project whenever I had time though. Here are some of the shots I took throughout last month. I first shot some monochrome photos of a Gerbera with different compositions and lighting.

Then I bought myself a Hyacinth to photograph

But just as before I had problems of deciding weather I liked to complete monochrome version better then the colored versions and I decided not to decide and take a few shots in color too.

I know... not really much photography going on at the moment, but the weather has been terrible here and going out has become a right problem. On a more happy note....

I bought myself a new camera. I am now the proud owner of the Canon 700D. I noticed while doing the dark flower shots that the quality of the shots have degraded over time and there were a lot of dead pixels on the shots. The shots also turned out very grainy from the long exposure despite having the ISO as low as I can on my camera. I decided that it was time to take the plunge and buy a new camera. I only so far used the camera to take the shots of the Hyacinth above but the difference in quality of the shots were very noticeable. I cant wait to take the new camera out soon and try it out on a subject I really enjoy photographing... landscapes.

See you soon guys ... and keep safe xxx
